Cookie Policy
Effective 18 May 2026 · v1.0
Project Tracking Center (“PTC”) uses cookies and similar browser storage only where they’re needed to make the Service work. We do not use advertising, social-media, or third-party analytics cookies of any kind.
1. What we set
| Name (prefix) | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-*-auth-token | PTC (auth) | Keeps you signed in. Set by our authentication provider (Supabase) on the projecttrackingcenter.com domain. | Up to 7 days (refreshed on activity) |
theme (localStorage) | PTC | Remembers your preferred light/dark mode so the page doesn’t flash on load. | Persistent until cleared |
cookie-notice-dismissed (localStorage) | PTC | Records that you’ve seen the cookie notice so we don’t show it on every page. | Persistent until cleared |
2. Categorization
All three items are classified as strictly necessary or functional under the EU ePrivacy framework. They do not require prior consent because they exist solely to provide the service you’ve requested (sign-in, theme persistence, cookie-notice memory). We surface a small notice on first visit for transparency.
3. What we don’t set
- Advertising / retargeting cookies — none. We do not run ads, and we do not share data with any ad network.
- Third-party analytics cookies — none. We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Segment, or similar.
- Social-media cookies — none. There are no Facebook pixels, Twitter widgets, or Like buttons embedded in the Service.
- Cross-site tracking — we have no way to know what other sites you visit, and we never try to find out.
4. Third-party providers
Our error-reporting provider (Sentry) may set its own cookies on sentry.io subdomains for its own functionality. Those cookies are outside our control; see Sentry’s privacy policy at sentry.io/privacy. The Sentry browser SDK we run on the projecttrackingcenter.com domain does not itself set advertising or analytics cookies.
5. How to manage cookies
Because the cookies above are strictly necessary or functional, the Service won’t work properly if you block them — you won’t be able to stay signed in. You can still clear them via your browser’s privacy settings (look for “Clear browsing data” or “Cookies and site data”). Most major browsers also support opting out of third-party cookies globally.
6. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page if we add or remove anything. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes (e.g., adding a new category like analytics) we will update the policy and surface a fresh notice before the change takes effect.
