Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Project Tracking Center(“PTC” or the “Service”), provided by us (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using PTC, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are using PTC on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Your account

To use most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information when you register and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@projecttrackingcenter.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Workspaces, members, and roles

PTC is organized around workspaces. The person who creates a workspace becomes its Owner; Owners can invite other members and assign them roles (Admin, Editor, Viewer). Owners and Admins control workspace settings, member access, and the workspace’s data. Workspace data is shared among all members of that workspace, subject to their assigned roles.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation;
• Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person;
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any code designed to harm or interfere with the Service;
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written permission;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, any account, or any system or network connected to the Service;
• Send unsolicited communications, advertisements, or spam through the Service;
• Use the Service to store or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise objectionable;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service, except where permitted by law;
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our express written permission.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you upload to or create within the Service (your “Content”) — workspaces, clients, projects, tasks, notes, comments, time logs, service requests, and so on. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and display your Content solely to provide and operate the Service for you and the members of your workspace. This license ends when you delete your Content or close your account, subject to backup retention described in the Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for your Content and for any consequences of uploading, sharing, or transmitting it.

6. Our content and brand

The Service’s software, design, trademarks, and other materials we provide are owned by PTC or our licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand without separate written permission.

7. Plans, billing, and free tier

PTC offers a free tier and paid plans. If you subscribe to a paid plan, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge the applicable fees to your payment method on the billing cycle you select. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

We may change pricing or introduce new fees with at least 30 days notice via email or in-product notification. If you don’t agree to a price change, you can cancel before it takes effect.

8. Service availability

We work to keep the Service available and performant, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, third-party provider outages (Supabase, email delivery, hosting), and unforeseen events may occasionally cause downtime.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers — including Supabase (database and authentication), Sentry (error monitoring), and our email transport — to operate. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers’ terms where they apply. We list our material subprocessors in the Privacy Policy.

10. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time from your profile page or by emailing contact@projecttrackingcenter.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if your account presents a security or legal risk, or for prolonged inactivity. If we suspend or terminate your account, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you and to give you an opportunity to export your data, except where prompt action is required.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Your Content, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DATA WILL BE PRESERVED WITHOUT LOSS.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PTC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PTC, its affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (i) your Content, (ii) your use of the Service, (iii) your violation of these Terms, or (iv) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or via the Service before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the change means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't accept, please stop using the Service and close your account.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Canada, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in this section limits any consumer rights you have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
